EPAC is a complete solution in ship automation. It integrates power management, alarm- shutdowns and control into one complete system. This gives the operator one common interface for full control of all significant installations on his vessel. EPAC is a modular, flexible and fully customizable system which is easy to learn and operate. EPAC founds her working area throughout a wide variety of vessels and is accepted by all major classification societies.

Power Management System (PMS)

The PMS is a fully automatic system which guarantees stability and availability of power under all circumstances regardless the operation of the vessel. The PMS takes care of, but is not limited to;

  • Automatic synchronizing and load sharing
  • Pre-defined electrical configurations customized per vessel
  • Load depending starting and stopping
  • Heavy consumer control and load management
  • Black out recovery
  • System recovery
  • Tripping of non-essential consumers
  • Automatic selection of a switchboard side for the azimuth thruster (if in automatic mode)

Alarm and Monitoring

A complete alarm and shutdown system modular system which is PLC based. Various operator stations on bridge, Engine control room, cabins etc. Standard layout customized per application. Engineers Safety System. Capable of integration with various other systems via hardwired input or serial communication. Expandable I/O.

Control System

The control system is a fully flexible and programmable system. Works with all other systems based on serial communication or hardwired I/O. Can control various systems such as, but not limited to; cargo, bilge, ballast, fuel, oil, water, navigation, lighting, fire detection, water mist, electrical power distribution, motors, generators, voyage data recorder etc. including maintenance systems. Control is via one common graphic based Human Machine Interface with standardized typicals.
